Private lovely journey to Penguins-Cape point-Cape of good hope

6 hours and 30 minutes

Easy

Discover the Cape Peninsula on a full-day guided tour from Cape Town. See the African penguins at Boulders Beach, explore the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Begin your tour with a morning hotel pickup in Cape Town. Cruise past the luxury coastal suburbs of Camps Bay and the towering Twelve Apostles Mountain Range before reaching your first stop, a picturesque fishing village. Browse local markets or take an optional 45-minute boat cruise to see the Cape fur seal colony at Duiker Island.

Navigate one of the world's most breathtaking coastal roads, a 9-kilometer route carved into marine cliffs, stopping at designated viewpoints for panoramic photos. Leave the Atlantic side and cut across the peninsula to False Bay, stopping in the historic naval outpost of Simon's Town.

Walk along specially designed wooden boardwalks that wind through the sand dunes. Get within meters of thousands of endangered African penguins waddling, nesting, and plunging into the turquoise coves.

Enjoy a break for local seafood (own account) overlooking the harbor at Simon's Town or within the nature reserve. Next, enter the wild Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, part of a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. Keep an eye out for resident wildlife, including baboons, ostriches, Cape mountain zebras, and bontebok.
